Adam Mitcheson is the CEO and Founder of my2be, a social network for Students and Professionals that helps get them where they want to be in their career through career advice, networking, and mentoring.

What was your earliest ambition?

To become a Professional Football Player and play for Manchester United

What did you do for money aged 16?

Worked as a Kitchen Porter in a local Restaurant, also worked in a call centre.

Who was or still is your mentor?

Recently a family friend has taken to acting as a mentor but growing up I didn’t have one really. I looked up to people like my dad and my uncle as well as people like Roy Keane, Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Richard Branson. These days I still look up to those people but have a growing list of people that I admire and learn from.

In what place are you happiest?

Either at home, at Old Trafford watching Man United or in the Lake District.

What ambitions do you still have?

To make as much of a contribution as possible in my short time here on earth.

What is the greatest achievement of your life so far?

Managing to play and then score at Old Trafford as part of the charity work I do and also setting up my own business.

What has been your greatest disappointment?

Not becoming a Professional Footballer

What ideas do you have that nobody else has?

Several! is just the start I hope.

What great challenge of life has humanity not solved yet?

Many, getting along peacefully, hunger, poverty, understanding. In 2016 some of these really shouldn’t be issues at all. I think we’re heading in the right direction but more needs to be done.

If you had to rate your satisfaction with your life so far, out of 10, what would you score?

6, I’m aware of just how fortunate I am but life is there for the taking and don’t feel like I’ve even got started yet.
